The Rainbow Of Autumn
There are the oranges, yellows and browns
And yes, the majestic scarlet.
All bringing their own spectrum
We can call the rainbow of autumn.
And when the sun shines upon them
They glisten and glow
Like rubies, carnelian and topaz
Their value no less.
And then the winds come
Followed by the rain
Those jewels fall to the ground
And feed the earth with their value.
The rainbow of autumn comes for awhile
Blesses us with her brilliance
We appreciate these cooler days
We watch the leaves dance as they tumble.
