Certainty— Uncertainty
Drought succumbed to storms and floods
retreating, repeating
Stopped by blinding rain and hail
I waited, flashers blinking
The next day the forest smelled like jasmine
blooming mountain laurel cascaded down
like thick hair over a breast, warming sun streaked
between trees on glistening rocks;
bad becoming good , balancing, falling, changing
Blue, violet, purple, turquoise green gold, vibrant
or misty vista’s
The mountains change and remain
weather changes, we change,
and are gone.
