FRWRC Yard Sale–“It takes a village”
A big thank you to all of you for your donations to the FR Women’s Resource Center yard sale, with both items and tables, and also for your volunteer work during Saturday’s sale.
We collected a large array of items to sell, which helped the success of the sale, raising $1,500 for our efforts with Warren County women and middle school girls. While the weather provided some early morning challenges, the day turned out well and we had a steady stream of customers. As usual, we did not sell everything, and at the end of the sale, items remaining were donated to Blue Ridge Housing, Blue Ridge Hospice, and Goodwill. These nonprofits also aid people in our community.
A special thanks to the Bement family. Lyn Bement has been a faithful supporter of the yard sale for a number of years, and her husband and son, Doug and Brett, provided exceptional help with the clean-up operation. Also thanks to husbands John Mullinax, Ron Faucher, and Peter Meyer, as well as Barbara’s son Chris Way, for their assistance on both Friday and Saturday. The Fauchers also provided their canopy tent for us to use as our check-out site and morning shelter from rain showers.
Thank you, Lee
